Himeji Castle

I took a day trip from Kyoto to Himeji to see this castle--one of the most well-known in Japan. It is also known as the White Heron castle because it is so white. Hideyoshi built it in 1580 but was later enlarged and occupied by 48 other lords.

Fukuoka, Japan

So for my week's vacation I went to Japan. It was amazing! I took the hydrofoil ferry which was super fast and only took three hours from Busan, Korea to Fukuoka. I had beautiful weather.

I spent the day in Fukuoka. I went to Ohori Park, where there was a huge lake, to a Japanese Garden, and walked around the Fukuoka castle ruins.
